Can music say more than words? In the case of the new track "Falling Away", the answer is a resounding yes. This moving story of loss, broken bonds and emotional distance unfolds through an atmospheric and evocative musical journey. The song brings together top musicians' artistic experience, the lyrics' emotional depth, and a modern sound enriched with elements of progressive rock.
Adrian Lars Skorsen once again invited members of the band Silentmen to collaborate – drummer Sebastian Kurczewski and vocalist/lyricist Filip Rumiński.
“The instrumental recordings took place in my studio, while Filip recorded the vocals in one of the London studios,” shares Adrian. “It was a quick session, but full of dedication. You could feel the energy and a wordless connection.”
The project also features Tomek Chmiel – a talented multi-instrumentalist, arranger, and music producer of the younger generation, who contributed the keyboard arrangements. His studio in Poland came alive during the creative process. With a solo album and several collaborative projects already under his belt, Chmiel brought a fresh sound to the composition, building an atmosphere of emotional tension.
"Falling Away is a song about helplessness. It is about how hard it is to accept that, despite all efforts, someone disappears from your life," says Filip.
The chorus line “Falling away, like stars in the night…” evokes the image of fading stars vanishing from view, leaving only the echo of memories behind. This powerful metaphor gives the song a poetic quality that resonates deeply with anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one – be it through separation, death, or emotional detachment.
Adrian's composition strikes a delicate balance between moody rock and subtle progressive elements. The instruments create a sonic landscape that is spacious, emotionally rich, and never overwhelming. The track's closing section draws the listener into a cinematic atmosphere, leaving them with a question that doesn’t need answering – only understanding.

Why does this track have the potential to go far?
Because of its universal and emotional theme, we all go through loss, and music like this serves as a mirror to the soul.
"Falling Away" is more than just a song. It's an experience—a conversation with yourself when words fall short and only music can say what needs to be said.
It’s worth surrendering to this story before it quietly fades away.
