The idea for the campaign "STOP HATE! MOTIVATE!" emerged from the need for a decisive response to the phenomenon of hate, the effects of which we experienced during the preparations for the Stars Night Awards 2024. This highlighted the importance of combating hate, also in an international context.
We want our message to reach an ever-growing audience, encouraging reflection and a zero-tolerance approach to such destructive actions stemming from misinformation and attempts to undermine trust. These events made us realise the necessity of educating society about respect, responsibility, and mutual support. The Stop Hate! Motivate! A conference in the UK was created to firmly oppose hate speech and emphasise that such behaviour cannot be tolerated in any environment—private or professional.
What happened during these two days is hard to capture in words. Both in Liverpool and Manchester, we created an environment where people dared to step out of their comfort zones. In a safe atmosphere, participants confronted emotions long suppressed—pain, disappointment, and sometimes anger stemming from the hate they had experienced, often from those closest to them.
For many, these hours proved to be a therapeutic experience, allowing them to release the burden of negative emotions. The speakers' shared conversations, mutual support, and inspiring words played a balm for wounded hearts. Guests left the event with relief and hope for the future—that building a life rooted in respect, support, and understanding is possible.
Many participants emphasized feeling understood and accepted for the first time in a long while. What transpired during this campaign demonstrates the immense power of dialogue and community. Our gatherings showed that change is possible if we dare to confront complex topics that are often left unspoken.
"STOP HATE! MOTIVATE!" in the UK marks the beginning of a new chapter for WYSPA TV as the organizer and everyone who participated in this campaign. We proudly reflect on the success of these events, which became more than just conferences—they transformed into platforms for change and inspiration for further action.
