Among the vibrant Polish community, an extraordinary initiative was born in the heart of Bristol, Babskie Spotkania Bristol. Established in 2018, the group was created to foster integration, mutual support, and a safe space for women of Polish origin. Behind its success are three inspiring women – Renata, Małgosia, and Iwona – whose dedication and passion have united hundreds of Polish women, building an exceptional platform for community and collaboration.

Babskie Spotkania Bristol is a grassroots initiative operating independently – without formal financial or institutional support. The group’s activities rely on its members' energy and commitment and the organisers' creativity. This collective drive has enabled the organization of dozens of events annually for five years.

The primary goal of Babskie Spotkania is to support women at various stages of their lives. It is a place where Polish women can form new friendships, explore their interests, share experiences, and strengthen their sense of belonging. Participants can find something for themselves with many initiatives – from thematic workshops and meetings with inspiring guests to integration trips, business events, social gatherings, and charitable efforts.

The group's success is attributed not only to the immense dedication of its organizers but also to their ability to inspire others. Through their efforts, Babskie Spotkania has become a space where Polish women can feel safe, pursue their passions, and boost their self-esteem.

In 2023, the group was among the finalists for the prestigious BBC Bristol Social Groups Award. A year later, at the end of 2024, Babskie Spotkania was honoured with the Lord Mayor of Bristol’s medal for outstanding and innovative volunteer work and commitment to the local community.

MOTIVATE!” campaign from a distance, proving that borders are no obstacle to promoting positive values and fighting against hate speech.
