National Reading 2024: Wyspa TV Receives a Letter from the President of Poland

Dear Mr. President,

On behalf of the entire WYSPA TV team, we would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude for the letter and the beautiful edition of Kordian by Juliusz Słowacki, which serves as a unique keepsake of this year’s National Reading 2024.

Your appreciation for our involvement in this significant event filled us with pride and motivation to continue our work. The collective reading of Kordian (Act I, Scene I), which we produced as a video project, was an artistic challenge for us and an opportunity to promote the classics of Polish literature among the Polish diaspora in the United Kingdom.

We are delighted to have contributed to popularising Poland’s literary heritage, which unites Poles worldwide. The letter and the copy of Juliusz Słowacki’s masterpiece will serve as a reminder of the strength of community that culture and the written word bring.
