In July 2022, a Polish evening took place in Crewe Central.
In the official part, Mayor of Cheshire East David Marren and Consul Michał Mazurek from the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Manchester gave a speech emphasising cooperation and mutual support.
There were lots of attractions. Children from ViaDance presented a charming dance performance, and Polish Elvis Presley presented himself on stage.
The "Poppies" music band provided dancing and great entertainment, and motoring enthusiasts presented a military motorcycle.
The youngest had many attractions, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and a play corner.
The evening was crowned with a charity lottery with great prizes.
The proceeds from the lottery tickets sold were donated to the charity account of the Mayor of Cheshire East, which will support a selected charity supporting refugees from Ukraine.
