East Fest will be the first outdoor, multi-art form celebration of Polish and Eastern European arts and culture in Luton town centre.
The festival builds on the achievements of Polonia 2019 and will be an entertaining and enlightening event that showcases Polish, Jewish, Lithuanian, Ukrainian, Belarus and Lemko elements with the new addition of Bulgarian, Hungarian & Romanian cultures that together have created contemporary Eastern European culture.
By locating East Fest in the town centre close to shops and other facilities we will attract audiences From all communities and add this cultural Eastern European event to the increasing range of community-led events in Luton.
We will bring together a programme of high-profile international artists; quality UK based artists who
offer a window into the diversity of Eastern European culture and local artists and community groups
who embody the vibrancy of the Eastern European communities in Luton. The aim of the Festival is to
bring all the Luton communities closer together and create more opportunities to celebrate cohesion in
the town.
We will showcase different art forms throughout the day including music from Romanian and Slovakian/Polish bands to Bulgarian Folk & Eastern European dance groups.
