In a world where the pace of everyday life increasingly distances audiences from deeply experiencing art, there are events that remind us that music remains one of the purest languages of community. The International Christmas Song Competition “December Carolling”, organised by the Sława Przybylska Foundation “Sława”, became precisely such a moment, a meeting point of tradition and modernity, experience and youth, as well as individual emotions with the universal message of culture.
The project attracted participants representing different generations and artistic backgrounds, and its format allowed Christmas music to be perceived not only as an element of seasonal tradition but also as a space for creative interpretation and personal expression. The performances presented within the competition revealed remarkable stylistic diversity and artistic sensitivity.
The symbolic centre of the event remains Sława Przybylska, a legend of the Polish music scene, whose presence gives the initiative a timeless dimension. Her artistic legacy and authority form a bridge between history and the future, inspiring young performers to boldly seek their own voices. At the same time, the organisational vision of the Foundation’s President, Krzysztof Rydzelewski, enabled the integration of a traditional competition format with modern communication tools, allowing the event to gain international reach and a dynamic character.
An important element of this year’s edition was the audience's active presence, which went beyond the role of a passive observer. Audience engagement in the digital space gave the competition a new dimension, a dialogue between stage and audience, where emotions and reactions become an integral part of the artistic experience.
The media patronage of Wyspa TV aligns with the platform’s broader mission of consistently building a space for cultural initiatives with social and educational significance. The collaboration with the Sława Przybylska Foundation “Sława” exemplifies synergy between media and the artistic community, where the promotion of talent is combined with the responsibility to shape a conscious culture.
The competition finale was not merely a moment of announcing results but a symbolic culmination of a process in which music became a tool for building relationships and strengthening a sense of community. “December Carolling” proved that tradition remains alive only when it is reinterpreted by new generations, not as a relic of the past, but as an inspiration for creating the future.
It is precisely within this tension between memory and modernity that the project's strength lies, already announcing further initiatives and the continued development of its artistic mission.

Holiday music stays meaningful when it is not only preserved but actively reinterpreted. “December Caroling” frames carols and Christmas songs as a shared cultural language—personal, emotional, and intergenerational. Sława Przybylska’s artistic legacy provides a timeless reference point, while contemporary communication and online participation amplify reach and engagement. The result is tradition as a living practice: current, creative, and community-building.
