Jubilee 50 Bal Polski, Guildhall, London

50 bal polskiWe are honoured that our TV was invited. We had the opportunity to participate in such a fantastic event as the jubilee 50 Polish Ball, which took place on February 5, 2022, in the beautiful, historic ceremonial and administrative building of the Guildhall Center in London, at the seat of the City Council of London. Prince Edward of Kent became the honorary patron of the event. In his official letter, he expressed his delight at the patronage of this great event, which is the Polish Ball on its 50th anniversary.

Undoubtedly, a well-established place in the social and cultural life of the valued Polish community in Great Britain attracts many supporters.

Thanks to the generosity of the participants, he makes a valuable contribution to charity projects in Poland and around the world. Finally, the prince thanked the Committee and everyone involved for their hard work and wished a wonderful evening celebrating Polish culture and art and friendship between the two countries.

The Polish Ball is undoubtedly the most prestigious charity event for the British Polish diaspora in the calendar. Among the guests were many Ambassadors of the Republic of Poland and the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Italy, Anna Maria Anders, and royal family members. In addition, funds were collected at the Polish Ball, which will significantly support the Home of Mothers with Minor Children and Pregnant Women in Łabunia near Zamość.

The jubilee 50 Polish Ball was hosted by TV presenter and BBC journalist Kasia Madera and TV and radio journalist Marzena Rogalska. The evening star was the famous Polish singer Natalia Kukulska and Grzegorz Wilk. The event was also accompanied by the Mazury Song and Dance Ensemble performances.

Amazingly, this wonderful event was started in 1970. It was held earlier under the Emigration Ball, which integrates the Polish community in Great Britain and supports noble causes. The number of places is always limited. From year to year, the ball is becoming more and more popular, which means that the prestige grows in direct proportion to the passage of time. This year, as many as 80 people were on the waiting list, who, unfortunately, have not managed to buy tickets anymore and contribute to the enrichment of the collected funds for charitable causes.

Each year, the event's program is vibrant, filled with excellent artists presenters singing the national anthem together, a charity auction, and the guests present themselves in exquisite costumes. In addition, beautiful dishes, desserts, a cake and a toast were served.

The whole envelope makes the auctions record amounts of the auctioned items, and the warm atmosphere encourages the guests to be more and more generous.

We want to thank the Polish Ball Committee for their trust, and we would like to reassure all those who have not managed to purchase a ticket for this year's ball that the next Polish Ball will be held next year.
