We are a four-piece band from Nottingham called Good Friend Rik. We started in 2016 playing classics of Polish and world rock. However, it quickly became apparent that at that time there was much greater demand for dance music, so we decided to focus on that.
One day, we decided that we couldn't compete with disco polo and we are happiest when playing rock. We decided to build our own professional studio where we can play as much as we like. It was great to have such a studio when we couldn't play in it for two years during the COVID-19 pandemic.
When the world returned to normal, we needed some time to refresh our skills by playing in many English cities for the Polish audience. Today's economy combined with the cost of hiring a full band presents us with significant challenges. However, seeing the enthusiasm of the Polish audience in the UK, we are motivated to meet these challenges.
Currently, we continue our rehearsals, expanding our repertoire, and we are open to concert proposals throughout the UK.
