Her work is primarily practical. For over 15 years, she has independently managed thematic groups and Facebook pages as an information hub for the Polish community. Katarzyna shares content on everyday life, local organizations, cultural events, and current issues important to the immigrant community. In an age of information overload, her efforts help many people quickly access helpful resources and guidance.
Katarzyna is also the founder of the Polish community newspaper "Nasz Manchester," a media project for this part of the UK. The newspaper has been operating continuously for 8 years and is solely managed by Katarzyna. She creates content, plans publications, promotes local businesses, and handles distribution's technical and logistical aspects. Despite limited resources, the project has endured and continues to play an essential role in the local media landscape.
In recent years, Katarzyna has also supported other social initiatives, including co-organizing local editions of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (WOŚP) in Manchester, creating a space for community integration and joint action around these events.
Without external support or an editorial team, she has managed to maintain the continuity of her projects while balancing her everyday professional and personal responsibilities.
These initiatives endure, driven by a determination and a consistency.
Katarzyna’s nomination for the Stars Night Awards recognizes long-term grassroots work—often less visible but deeply essential. Leadership doesn’t always mean big stages and speeches, but it is consistent and dedicated to specific causes and people.
